Service and Amenities

Bishampton and Throckmorton Parish Council provides numerous services including the following:

Villages Hall & Parish Rooms
The Village Hall and play areas on Broad Lane are a focal point for the community and the many clubs and societies in the villages.
Management is conducted by a Village Hall committee and supported by the Parish Council.
Similarly the Parish Rooms at Throckmorton provide community meeting space and a focus for events.
Both may be hired for private events.

Village Shop, Flat and Dolphin
Bishampton and Throckmorton are extremely unusual in having acquired these properties on behalf of the community to secure their future. This unusual step was taken in recognition of their huge importance to the life of the villages and the real possibility of losing them in the early 2010s.
The council act as landlords to the businesses and the tenants at the flat though the businesses are run independently and outside the control of the council.
