Wychavon Release more details of "WYCHAVON TOWN" 

More details have now been released for the new town to be created at Worcester Parkway as proposed in the SWDPR and now adopted as one of central government's 12 New Towns.  It is hoped that this will make a significant contribution to the 5 year land supply for the district. Dial A Ride bus service - Now in Wychavon

The Worcestershire on Demand - Dial a Ride bus service is now operational in Wychavon.  Book bus travel around the area (and back!!)  - Downlod the booking app and try it out for free during August.   Dial a Ride details


Solar Farm BESS - Update Planning Committee - APPROVED

Infinis have re-submitted a minimally changed proposal and simply argued that they can't use the central site area for the BESS.  Wychavon Planning appear to be pushing this through to committee on Thursday 13th November.

Dispite  expressing disappointment with the resubmitted proposal  the Planning Committee eventually chose to simply follow the planning officer recommendation.


A family connection to Bishampton! 

A gentleman now resident in Essex has traced his roots back to the Treadwell family, two of whom are comemorated on the war memorial Family connection information  


Throckmorton New Town - REFUSED - (for now)   

In their interim report on the SWDPR The Planning Inspectorate have given broad support for much of the the plan BUT the Inspectors are NOT satisfied as to the soundness of the Throckmorton site or that it is deliverable.

As a result the 2000 home first stage is REMOVED from the plan and the area downgraded from an allocated site to one for possible future search!   SWDPR more details
